Orientation week for exchange students
Dear new exchange students,
Welcome to Åbo Akademi University!
The start of your studies will be intensive and filled with information. Exchange students start their studies with a mandatory orientation week. During the orientation course, information is given on most of the matters a student needs to know in order to get started with their studies. The orientation course is also where you meet your fellow students as well as get acquainted with the study environment and the city together with your tutors.
Spring 2026 Orientation Week
The Orientation week for Exchange students in Spring 2026 takes place on the following dates:
Official Arrival Day – Friday 2nd January 2026
Orientation week programme – Monday 5th January to Thursday 8th January.
Please note, Tuesday 6th January is a public holiday in Finland and the University will be closed, no orientation programme on that day.
