Solutions that reduce, capture or use CO2 hold great promise for the green transition and efforts to lower emissions. However, many of these solutions are still under development or face challenges related to funding and research. With the support of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme, the CATALYSE project aims to establish and sustain a long-term collaboration for the production of renewable dimethyl ether fuel from CO2 between Europe, China, Nigeria and South Africa. This initiative will create joint research opportunities that leverage advanced tools and a wealth of expertise, skills and knowledge, facilitating the development of novel process systems and materials for direct air capture and use.
