BioCity Symposium 2026

The 35th annual BioCity Symposium will be held on 27–28 August 2026 at the Mauno Koivisto Centre, BioCity Turku. This year’s symposium carries the theme VISION, EXPANDED.

The annual BioCity Symposium is a long-standing conference series organized by BioCity Turku since 1991. Over the years, it has become the most important annual gathering in the fields of biosciences and molecular medicine in Turku. Each year, the symposium brings together hundreds of participants and features talks by cutting-edge international researchers.

This year’s BioCity Symposium brings together leading minds from academia and industry to explore imaging’s central role in life science discovery. The symposium will spotlight cutting-edge advances in light microscopy, PET imaging, and AI-powered image analysis, while fostering dialogue on data integration, emerging scientific applications, and translational potential.

The programme features a line-up of internationally recognised scientists, with keynote lectures by Samantha Stehbens from The University of Queensland, Australia, and Harry Hu from the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, USA.

Registration is open until Friday, 14 August 2026. The symposium is free of charge.
