Pre-service education

In the Immersion class teacher education programme the main subject is pedagogy. Other subjects are didactic studies and Swedish for immersion teachers. The programme gives the qualification of a class teacher in basic education as well as Swedish teacher in Finnish basic education.

The Immersion early childhood teacher education programme contains studies in early childhood education and psychology, arts and skills subjects, as well as studies in immersion, language and communication. The Bachelor’s degree gives the qualification of an early childhood education teacher and preschool teacher.

In-service education

In-service education is arranged in cooperation with the Centre for lifelong learning and other actors, for example, the Svenska nu -network.
