Advertise at all universities in Finland 

Employers can free of charge advertise vacant positions, internships or thesis placements through the JobTeaser portal. Through JobTeaser, you can reach out to students both at ÅAU and in other Finnish universities that are part of the Aarresaari network. The advertisements that are published on JobTeaser ought to be relevant for university students. Aarresaari network moderates the JobTeaser portal centrally. Advertise only at Åbo Akademi University

If you wish to target only students at ÅAU, please log in to JobTeaser through here. In this portal, you can also advertise jobs that can be done alongside with one’s studies and which do not require academic education.

Please note that Åbo Akademi University does not publish advertisements on unpaid internships on JobTeaser (exceptions are unpaid internships abroad for which it is possible to apply for a scholarship).

Universities want to help students find high-quality and suitable internships e.g. by granting them internship subsidies. University students who do internships in Finland often receive salary from the employer. Students at Åbo Akademi University can receive internship vouchers from the university that they can use for their internships. Students can inform the employer already in the application phase about ÅAU system with partial funded internships (internship vouchers). Employers that hire interns, who have an internship voucher from Åbo Akademi University, can be granted the subsidy.

Students at Åbo Akademi University can be granted the internship voucher only once during their studies. Students can apply for the internship voucher at any time. 

An internship period of two months is the minimum length and the intern follows the normal working hours as the other personnel at the organizations. The internship employer and Åbo Akademi University’s Career Services make a written agreement on the partial funding before the internship starts.  After the internship, the employer sends an invoice to Åbo Akademi University based on the subsidy agreed in the contract.

The internship voucher is 1300 euros for internship periods of three months.

Criterias:

  • The internship is payed. The intern has an labour agreement with the internship position and the intern is paid at least the minimum wage that meets Kela’s employment condition, that is 1430 €/month (calendar year 2025)
  • the minimum length of training is 3 months, at least 2 months.
  • The internship must correspond to the intern’s field of study and the goals of the degree. The tasks must be specialist in nature, where the trainee can apply the training he has received as much as possible.
  • The internship should develop the student’s expertise and give an opportunity to learn new things.
  • The trainee must have a designated instructor at the training location.

Support is not granted for an internship or an employment relationship that started before the internship support was granted.

Internship abroad:

For traineeships within the EU/EEA Erasmus area, ÅAU students can receive an Erasmus+ internship grant for internships that give study credits and that last at least 2 months. For internships outside Erasmus area, students can receive a travel grant for their travel expenses.

The internship voucher can be used at internship positions where the employer pays an salary to the intern that is a minimum of 1430 € per month 

A granted voucher is worth a total of:

  • 1300 euros for an internship period of minimum 3 months (1800 euros for Finnish government agencies).
  • 900 euros for an internship period of minimum 2 months (1200 euros for Finnish government agencies).
