You apply to upper secondary school (the preparatory year) through the joint application system studyinfo

The application period is 20.02-19.03.2024

All applicants with a certificate from a Finnish compulsory school will receive an invitation by e-mail to entrance tests in English and Mathematics, arranged Friday 19.04.2024.

For applicants from schools in Finland the grades are transferred automatically to Studyinfo and no copies are needed. Notice that we require a grade average of at least 7.0 from schools in Finland.

INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS

By international students, we mean students without a certificate from a Finnish compulsory school.

The application period is 20.02-19.03.2024

We require that international applicants live with their families in the Vaasa region.

International students without the right to free upper secondary education pay a term fee, at the moment 350 € per term (700 € per year). This fee covers for all material needed including a laptop and books.

International applicants to the preparatory year can be accepted to an interview and entrance tests in English and Mathematics, arranged Friday 19.04.2024. You can be accepted to entrance test by first applying trough the electronic joint application system studyinfo  and fill in the online motivational letter. In the motivational letter, the applicant will also attach a copy of the latest school report and a recommendation letter. The recommendation letter should be written by a person who knows the applicant well, but not a family member.

The final results of the applications are published in mid June.

Applicants directly to the Diploma Programme do not apply via Studyinfo. They apply by filling in the online motivational letter. The deadline to fill in the motivational letter is 19.03.2024. In the motivational letter, the applicant should also attach a copy of the latest school report. Based on the motivational letter and the latest report card, the applicants can be accepted to an interview and entrance tests.
