Public Law – research

Research in Public Law focuses on the following areas:

  • Constitutional law
  • General administrative law
  • Animal welfare
  • Language rights
  • Right of participation
  • Authorities’ measures within the environmental field

Nordic and international aspects as well as European integration characterise all research, often with a comparative perspective. Leading research is conducted, in particular, within law concerning autonomy and self-government and the division of legislative powers between various lawmakers. New research areas include the legal regulations concerning algorithmic decision-making as well as export and import legislation.
