Open this webpage from the computer that you are going to use during the Adobe Connect session: https://connect.vasa.abo.fi/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm

Let the page perform the test in four steps. If every step is marked with ok, you do not have to do anything. If the page prompts you to download and install the plug-in, please do so.

After that, you are ready to log in to your meeting or seminar (choose the ”Enter as a Guest”-option, and write your name).

If you have microphone rights, do the following steps:

Click on the menu Meeting >  Audio Setup Wizard and follow the steps in the wizard. Do NOT click Test Silence that can lead to your sound being cut off. Check that you have chosen the right microphone in the drop-down.

Then activate your speakers, microphone and camera on the top menu.

Practical matters during the webinar

Always check your computer well in advance according to the above-mentioned instructions. The conference room will be activated about 15-30 minutes before the stated starting time, so youcan register for the webinar and if needed do a last minute sound check.

The usual length of a webinar is about 40 minutes and is divided into two parts:

  • Presentation
  • Questions and answers

During the presentation, questions may arise – write your question(s) in the chat room, all questions will be answered after the presentation.
