Academic year
The academic year begins 1 August and ends 31 July. The academic year is divided into two terms: The autumn term and the spring term.

Teaching periods at Åbo Akademi University
Each term of the academic year is divided into two periods.
For new students, the academic year starts week 35 with a study orientation week.
