Language Centre
The Language Centre at Åbo Akademi University offers courses in the national languages, foreign languages and academic writing skills. Our aim is to provide all students with the multilingual skills needed in their studies and in their personal and professional life.
Annually, approximately 4,000 national and international students and staff attend our courses in Swedish, Finnish, English, French, German, Russian, Spanish, Italian and Latin. We also offer courses in Finland-Swedish sign language.
The Language Centre’s mission
All bachelor’s degrees include studies in languages. Versatile language skills are a prerequisite for studies, in working life and for international contacts.
