Career Services at Åbo Akademi University co-operates with the following organizations so that students could easier get a foot in the door of working life, to create contacts and to learn about one’s career possibilities.

 Varsinais-Suomen Yrittäjät is the interest and service organization for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Southwest Finland. Together with the Young Entrepreneurs in Soutwest Finland, we offer networks, guidance and services for both entrepreneurs and students.

City of Naantali is a growing city of 19 000 inhabitants located in the archipelago of Southwest Finland. City of Naantali has a versatile business life with over 1500 companies and the city is known for its sights and restaurants. Through the co-operation with ÅAU Career Services, City of Naantali wants to facilitate meetings with employers and students, as well as inform the students about available internship opportunities and future career possibilities.

The Meyer Turku Oy shipyard is specialized in the construction of very demanding, innovative, and environmentally efficient cruise ships, car ferries, and special vessels. Our share of the global cruise construction market is approximately 15%.

Meyer Turku employs 2.000 top professionals and operates the Turku shipyard where vessels are built since 1737. Meyer Turku’s subsidiaries are Piikkio Works Oy, Shipbuilding Completion Oy and ENG’nD Oy. Cadmatic’s history began already in the early 80’s when mother company Elomatic wanted to streamline their design work and do it on a computer instead of continuing to draw by hand. This is how the 3D design software solutions called “Cadmatic” were born.

Today Cadmatic is a global organization with over 6000 customers in 60 countries. Our family consists of more than 300 Cadmaticans and in the coming years we are expecting to grow even more! Cadmatic is a market leader when it comes to software solutions for 3D design and information management and our solutions are used in the marine, building and process industry.

Cadmatic wants to inspire youngsters and awake their interest in technology! That is why we offer students interesting trainee and summer job opportunities as well as thesis supervision. Trivore is a software company founded in 2001 in Turku, Finland. Since 2016, we have more and more focused in designing and developing our own products. Trivore’s identity and access management system, as well as our integration platform are now enabling many agile, digital solutions for both public and private sector organizations.

Our team of 30 Trivoreans includes developers, technical support, and project managers. We value solution-oriented mindset and curiosity.

Boost Turku is a Turku-based entrepreneurship society dedicated to inspiring and supporting higher-education students in becoming startup entrepreneurs. Boost believes that entrepreneurial skills are essential and useful for everyone in today’s fast-paced work life.

As a student-run organization, Boost organizes entrepreneurship-related events, accelerator programs, and mentoring sessions for startups and aspiring founders. Their mission is to inspire and educate local students on their journey to becoming entrepreneurs, support startups in the regional ecosystem, and accelerate their growth.
