Nordplus exchange programme

Nordplus is the Nordic Council of Ministers’ exchange program for students and teachers at Nordic universities and colleges. The cooperation is based on networks between collaborating educational institutions across the Nordic countries. It is the networks that apply for Nordplus funding and select the scholarship recipients.

Erasmus+ Funded Networks:

Mobility through several Nordplus networks is now funded by the Erasmus+ program. The following networks are funded by Erasmus+, which means that students and teachers will receive Erasmus scholarships and status, and must therefore fill out applications in accordance with Erasmus+ program instructions. The scholarship amount is €540 per month within the Nordic countries.

  • Biology
  • Folklore
  • Business Administration (NOREK)
  • History
  • Nordic Languages and Literature (NORDLIKS)
  • NORDLYS (Open Network for students from all subjects)
  • NORDTEK
  • Political Science

Nordplus Funded Networks:

Nordplus scholarships are available for full-time studies at the bachelor’s level. The scholarship amount is €250 per month, for a maximum of nine months per academic year. In addition, a travel grant is provided: €330 to Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, and Sweden; €660 to Iceland; and €1,300 to Greenland. The following networks are funded by Nordplus:

  • Visual Arts
  • Philosophy
  • Finnish Language
  • Information Science
  • Teacher Education
  • Teacher Education in the Nordic Countries
  • Nordic Early Literacy
  • Psychology
  • Sloyd Pedagogy
  • Theology

Those interested in a Nordplus exchange should contact their subject coordinator or the Nordplus contact person at ÅA. ÅA’s internal deadline for exchange applications is 31.01.2025 at 15:00.

Note that some exchanges within the Nordic countries also occur through Erasmus+, so please also check the various subject networks within “Europe” if only the Nordic countries are of interest!
