International master programmes

Invest in your future! Choose Åbo Akademi University and one of our international master’s degree programmes!

We currently offer nine different programmes in several different fields (see programmes at the bottom of the page). Our university is known for good teacher-student relations, small groups, and good possibilities to get individual support within the studies.

Who can apply?

You are an eligible applicant for master’s level studies if

  • you have a nationally recognized bachelor’s degree or equivalent to at least 180 ECTS or to three years of full-time study from an accredited institution of higher education,
  • you meet the language requirements
  • you meet the programme specific requirements, i.e., your degree is in a relevant field for the master’s degree programme that you’re applying to

In the same online application you can also apply for our scholarships. There is one application round each year, in January and during the application period the application form is available online at Studyinfo. Start of studies is in late August.

See our step-by-step guide to applying to an international master’s programme for more information on deadlines, requirements and how to submit your application.

Application fees are introduced from 1 January 2025. The fees apply to applicants from outside the EU/EEA area, read more on Studyinfo.fi.
In case you have any questions about the application fees, kindly contact: applicationfee@oph.fi
