The Åbo Akademi University Foundation holds a number of grant funds in trust. On a yearly basis scholarships are announced from these funds to students at ÅAU. The regulation for each scholarship has been stipulated according to the donators wishes. Students at Åbo Akademi School of Business and Economics can, in addition to Åbo Akademi University Scholarships for Students, apply for scholarships from funds where studies within this subject field are accentuated.
These so called Hanken-scholarships have two annual application periods: one in March/April and one in October/November. The scholarship decisions are published 1-3 months after application deadline.
