Interpersonal Relations Research

Interpersonal Relations Research is a research group at the Department of Psychology at Åbo Akademi University. The group studies behaviors in interpersonal relationships—for instance, in romantic and sexual relationships and the parent-child relationship. Some of our research topics are the consequences of sexual compliance in committed intimate relationships, the association between individuals’ access to romantic/sexual partners and their attitudes about society, and the association between infant sleeping behavior and postpartum depression symptoms.
