In December 2020, Åbo Akademi University decided to postpone the doctoral conferral ceremony with one year from May 2021 to Friday, 20 May 2022.

All Honorary Doctors, Jubilee Doctors and Promovendi that received an invitation to the doctoral conferral in May 2021 will receive a new invitation to the doctoral conferral in May 2022.
