Conferral Ceremony at Åbo Akademi University
The conferral ceremony is one of Åbo Akademi University’s most solemn and tradition-rich ceremonies, in which new doctors (promovendi), honorary doctors and jubilee doctors are ceremonially conferred their degrees in a unique academic community that unites tradition and scholarship.

The next Conferral Ceremony will be held on Friday, 21 May 2027 at Logomo in Turku. Graduates of Åbo Akademi University who have not yet participated in a conferral ceremony may pre-register their interest in taking part in a future conferral ceremony via the link below. Registration for the 2027 doctoral conferral ceremony will open in October 2026, and the registration deadline is 31 January 2027.
