The new Astra building in Turku also houses course books

Students at Åbo Akademi University and Novia University of Applied Sciences have been able to borrow course books from the newly built Astra at Porthansgatan 3 since the beginning of the year.

Until Christmas, course books were borrowed from the ASA building a few blocks away.

The lending service operates mainly as self-service. Staff are available on weekdays from 11:30 to 13:00. Astra is open on weekdays from 8:00 to 16:00, and during those hours all library customers are of course welcome to borrow materials. Students and staff with their own key can visit Astra outside these hours as well.

Åbo Akademi University Library now has two main service points: one in Turku and one in Vaasa. In Turku, the library is located in Arken (Fabriksgatan 2), with customer service Mon–Thu 10:00–18:00, Fri 10:00–16:00, and Sat 11:00–15:00.

In Vaasa, the Academill Library offers extended self-service hours for students and staff, and customer service Mon–Wed 12:00–14:00, Thu 14:00–17:00, and Fri 12:00–14:00.
