The Centre for Lifelong Learning seeks new forms of cooperation

Åbo Akademi University and Novia University of Applied Sciences will be ending their current collaboration concerning the Centre for Lifelong Learning, CLL. The joint CLL organization will be dissolved, which means that Novia UAS will leave the organization.

Åbo Akademi University’s board approved the proposal at its meeting on 16 September 2022. New instructions for CLL will be formulated and approved by Åbo Akademi University’s board.

The parties have discussed the conditions for the collaboration both within the CLL organization and at rector’s level and have reached the consensus that the most appropriate course of action is to dissolve the current formal collaboration. Instead, new and less institutionalized forms of cooperation will be explored.

“Lifelong learning in all its various forms will have an increasingly important role in society. We must continuously develop our own working methods so that we can serve our target groups better. I see this development as a natural step towards an even more flexible collaboration between Novia UAS and ÅAU,” says Janne Roslöf, director at CLL.

Novia’s board approved the decision to dissolve the current organization and leave the collaboration in its current form in May 2022.
