This year’s UniYH event attracted over 1100 visitors

This year’s UniYH event brought together a total of 1150 upper secondary students.

The student recruitment event took place in Turku on 11 November and in Vaasa on 18 November, and attracted visitors from 39 Swedish-speaking vocational and upper secondary schools.

During the event, participants were able to get acquainted with Åbo Akademi’s degree programmes on campus. The event, organised in cooperation with Novia University of Applied Sciences, featured a wide range of lectures, tours, workshops, interactive exercises and meetings with ÅA students, researchers and alumni.

– In addition, UniYH offers visitors an opportunity to get a feel for the unique atmosphere on our campus, meet future lecturers and fellow students, and actually see what a research laboratory looks like, for example, says coordinator Ken Snellman at Åbo Akademi University.
