Hongbo Zhang, Taru Leppänen and Cecilia Nahnfeldt inaugurated as professors at Åbo Akademi University

Three new professors were inaugurated at Åbo Akademi University on 22 March 2024.

The Faculty of Science and Engineering inaugurated Hongbo Zhang, Professor of Pharmaceutical Biomaterials. The Faculty of Arts, Psychology and Theology inaugurated Taru Leppänen, Professor of Gender Studies, as well as Cecilia Nahnfeldt, Professor of Practical Theology.

The professors’ inauguration ceremony is one of the highlights of the academic year when the newly appointed professors give their inaugural lectures, which are open to the public.
