Åbo Akademi University starts the academic year with studies on campus for all students

All students at Åbo Akademi University will have the option to study on campus at the start of the academic year 2021–2022. Teaching will be planned so that courses with less than 30 participants are held on campus while bigger courses will either employ a hybrid solution or be completely held online.

While parts of the teaching staff as well as various support and administrative functions will work on campus, the main part of the staff of Åbo Akademi University is still working remotely. The Åbo Akademi University Library is open, including the reading rooms, but all visitors must maintain safety distances.

– It’s now important that everyone is responsible in matters of safety distances, the use of masks and proper hand hygiene. I trust that both staff and students know what to do and I want to wish everyone a good start of the new academic year, says Stefan Willför, Vice-rector at Åbo Akademi University.

More detailed guidelines for period 1 are published on the Åbo Akademi University intranet. Course descriptions in the study planning tool Peppi contain information about where and when each course is held.
