Åbo Akademi University establishes two new Master’s programmes in Vaasa

In its first meeting this autumn the Board of Åbo Akademi University decided to establish two new Master’s programmes in Vaasa.

The two new Master’s programmes that the board decided to establish, based on the faculties’ proposals, is the Master’s Degree Programme in Advanced Practice Nursing (APN) and a Master’s programme in Information Technology.

The programme in Health Science has a focus on clinical Caring Science. It is a new international two-year Master’s programme of 120 ECTS at the Faculty of Education and Welfare Studies (FPV) in Vaasa. Graduates from the programme will be addressed as Masters of Health Science.

The Master’s programme of 120 ECTS in Information Technology with a focus on Computer Engineering will also be introduced in Vaasa. This is a new programme within the already established study programme of Informational Technology that includes two majors: Computer Engineering and Computer Science.

The programmes in Vaasa will begin in the autumn of 2021.
