This year’s Autism Research Day will be organised at Åbo Akademi University with the theme Language and Communication.
Keynote speakers are professor Nelya Koteyko from Queen Mary University of London with the title ”The neurotypical listening subject in autistic young people’s accounts of participation in online affinity spaces”, and senior university lecturer Mari Wiklund from University of Helsinki with the title ”Autististen varhaisnuorten prosodiset strategiat ryhmäkuntoutuksessa: suomen ja sveitsinranskan vertailu”.

The event is organised by Autism Research Network, which is a collaborative network organised by multiple actors bringing together researchers, autistic people, their families, and professionals. The event has received funding from ÅAU’s Minority Profile’s initiative for younger ÅAU researchers.
