MOOCs are open online courses that anyone can attend. There are no entry requirements for the courses, but some prior knowledge may be recommended. The MOOCs are distance courses, i.e. they can be carried out entirely online. The courses often allow you to start whenever you want during a certain period of time and deadlines are flexible.
Attending a MOOC is free, but if you want a certificate or registration of credits for completed coursework, you pay the Open University’s tuition fee, 50 euros/term (the fee does not apply to ÅAU’s enrolled undergraduate and doctoral students).
Courses arranged by FiTech have a different system for registration of credits, this applies to the course “Introduktion till informationsteknologi”, that is in Swedish.
