Benthic community ecology
Benthic communities are fascinating study objects. Our research targets a broad range of both vegetated and bare soft sediment and rocky shore benthic communities. We study different aspects of functional biodiversity, structure and function of food webs as well as stress responses of different key organisms. Here our approach is descriptive field sampling complemented with advanced experiments in field, mesocosms and aquariums.
