Study on Sustainable Development Goals and human rights at the local level
The latest addition in the Institute for Human Rights Working paper series is a study (in Finnish) on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and human rights at the local level. It provides background on the relationship between SDGs and human rights, particularly in the context of Human Rights Cities, and takes a look at climate change and climate action from a human rights perspective. It examines to what extent human rights have been recognized by the City of Turku when striving to promote sustainable development and climate action. The study aims to provide the necessary basis for determining whether the City of Turku would benefit from integrating human rights into SDGs and whether a human rights-based approach would strengthen the target setting and processes for advocating sustainable development and climate action.
