NordiCHI explores the relationship between humans and computers

The international conference NordiCHI 2026, focusing on human-computer interaction, is being held at Åbo Akademi University in Vaasa on 3-4 October.

Nearly 290 researchers from around the world have gathered in Vaasa to participate in workshops, tutorials, and the Doctoral Consortium. Åbo Akademi University is represented by the Experience Lab and the Information Technology programme.

The weekend events at Åbo Akademi serve as a prelude to the main conference, which takes place on 5-7 October. The main conference will bring together around 400 researchers representing a wide range of perspectives on the relationship between humans and technology, from theoretical and practical insights to more creative explorations.

The conference is jointly organised by the University of Vaasa, the Experience Lab, and the Information Technology programme at Åbo Akademi University.
