Frontiers of Science seminars have been arranged by BioCity Turku since 1998 and is an event where world leading researchers are invited to present and share their latest research results. The seminars are intended for both researchers and students, who can get ECTS credits for participating.

– This autumn speaker listing is one again excellent, and it covers topics from cancer research and computer modeling to photosynthesis, says Professor Klaus Elenius, the Scientific Director of BioCity Turku.

– We are also pleased to have recently nominated Academician of Science, professor Merja Penttilä, visiting in November to tell about her groundbreaking research of biosynthetic materials, Elenius continues.

After each seminar, up to six PhD researchers and early-career postdocs have the opportunity to have lunch with the speaker in order to create connections and start building their own scientific networks. Those who are interested can get in touch by sending an email to biocityturku@bioscience.fi.
