
Master’s Degree Programme in International Law and Human Rights (2026-2028)
Application to the Master’s Degree Programme in International Law and Human Rights is open between 7 – 21 January 2026
The Master’s Degree Programme in International Law and Human Rights is designed to prepare its graduates for challenging careers in international and non-governmental organizations, public administration, and legal practice. It will also provide the requisite background for advanced research in human rights or public international law. The study programme allows for individual tailor-made specialisation profiles depending on the choice of courses. Successful completion of this two-year full-time programme results in the award of a Master of International and Comparative Law degree.
The application period for the programme, starting in August 2026, is open between 7 – 21 January 2026. The application is in the online portal Studyinfo.fi. For details, please see the Åbo Akademi University website with information on the application and admission process.
The programme is offered by the Institute for Human Rights and the Chair of Public International Law within the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences at Åbo Akademi University.
