Åbo Akademi University will confer 13 Honorary Doctors in May 2022
The Doctoral Conferral Ceremony at Åbo Akademi University will take place on May 20, 2022. At the ceremony, 89 persons holding a doctoral degree from Åbo Akademi University will be conferred.
Also, the Faculties will confer 13 Honorary Doctors, either for the person’s solid scientific merits or in acknowledgement of substantial contributions to society.
The title of Jubilee Doctor will be conferred upon eight persons who have earned their doctoral degrees from Åbo Akademi University 50 years ago.
The doctoral conferral ceremony is the highest academic ceremony. At the ceremony, those who have completed their doctoral degrees are conferred with the title of Doctor and receive the insignia of their respective degrees.
