Åbo Akademi University considers measures after suspicions of conflict of interest

At its meeting on 28 April 2025 the Board discussed an investigation by the university’s internal auditor into suspicions of conflict of interest in employment at Åbo Akademi University. The Board took note of the investigation and decided the recommendations would be followed.

As the Board’s minutes from 28 April are now approved, the operational management will, based on the investigation’s recommendations, make an assessment, then a decision and then communicate any actions taken.

At its meeting on 28 April, the Board also took note of the internal auditor’s report on the sale of a used official car. The Board noted that there is a need to clarify the regulations concerning the sale of the university’s property, but that the matter does not otherwise require further action.
