Åbo Akademi University announces 18 doctoral positions
Åbo Akademi University announces 18 new funded doctoral positions, starting on 1 September 2026 at the earliest. The application deadline is 15 April 2026 at 15:00 (Finnish time).

The positions are offered within the following doctoral programmes at Åbo Akademi University:
Faculty of Science and Engineering (9 positions)
- Doctoral Programme in Biosciences and Drug Research, 2 positions
- Doctoral Programme in Chemical and Process Engineering, 2 positions
- Doctoral Programme in Science and Information Technology, 2 positions
- Doctoral Programme in Health Sciences, 1 position
In addition, two positions funded by the Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland are announced: one in Physics and one in Environmental and Marine Biology.
Faculty of Human and Social Sciences (9 positions)
- Doctoral Programme in Arts Subjects, 2 positions
- Doctoral Programme in Education, 2 positions
