Introduction to Education for Sustainable Development (5 cr) is an online course provided by the Open University at Åbo Akademi University (Turku/Finland) together with BUP Finland. The course is arranged annually.
The course is for students and educators who want to:
- Understand ESD and how it broadens the holistic and interdisciplinary understanding of sustainability.
- Understand how competencies like critical thinking, future scenarios skills and collaborative decision-making are promoted by ESD.
- Understand the role of ESD in both formal and informal learning.
- Get an insight of the state of ESD at the own university.
- A certificate will be sent to all participants by e-mail after completion and approved course. More information on the Open University’s web page.
