Regarding the recent Facebook post about harassment

Åbo Akademi University distances itself from all forms of inappropriate treatment and sexual harassment. We have rules and processes in place to deal with all forms of discrimination, harassment and bullying. We take every case seriously.

The case in question has also been handled in accordance with these rules and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

The investigation showed that it was an incident that took place during the individuals’ free time. As an employer, ÅAU does not have the mandate to interfere in what happens outside work hours.
