New Erasmus+ project will support lifelong learning

Representatives from Åbo Akademi University participated in the kick-off meeting of the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education project titled “SUCCESS: Society and Business Centric Education Through Sustainable and Smart Co-Production”, held from April 8 to 10, 2025, at the University of Antioquia in Medellín, Colombia.

Over the course of three days, working groups were established and strategic roadmaps were developed to achieve the project’s core objectives. These objectives centre on the professional development of academic staff and the provision of appropriate infrastructure to support the implementation of lifelong learning (LLL) programs. Designed to address the growing demand for digital competencies within the labour markets of the participating countries, these programs are intended to serve both professionals and the general public. The project is scheduled to run through 2028.

The project, supported by funding from the European Union, is under the coordination of Mälardalen University (Sweden) and involves the collaboration of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain), Åbo Akademi University (Finland), the University of Antioquia (Colombia), the University of Cauca (Colombia), the Technological University of Panama, and the University of Panama.
