Åbo Akademi University has signed an agreement with the company Kuusakoski to handle the scrapping of Åbo Akademi University’s electronics and ICT waste. The agreement covers both campuses and Vasa Övningsskola (Vasa Teacher Training School).

Kuusakoski reuses the ICT equipment as far as possible, according to their model for reuse of components and equipment. If it is not possible to reuse the equipment, they ensure that the material is recycled in an environmentally friendly way.

Equipment containing memory, such as computers and phones, is safely emptied and the company reports to ÅA on the process.
