The Global Campus of Human Rights (GC) has opened the call for applications for the European Master’s Programme in Human Rights and Democratisation (EMA) for the academic year 2021/2022.
EMA is an intensive one-year course aimed at educating 90 professionals annually in the field of human rights and democratisation. It is open to both EU and non-EU citizens. EMA is both a residential and an exchange programme. The first semester from September 2021 to January 2022 is organised at GC’s premises in Venice, Italy, and the second semester from February to July 2022 takes place in one of the 42 participating universities within the member states of the European Union plus the UK and Switzerland. The multidisciplinary EMA programme includes lectures, seminars, workshops, tutorials, skill-building sessions and individual research.
The Institute for Human Rights and the Chair of Public International Law at Åbo Akademi University have been hosting 1-3 EMA students each spring term for several years, and we also want to encourage Åbo Akademi University students to apply for the programme.
For more information about the EMA programme, admission criteria and application process, please see the programme website here.
