Academic elections on 11 June 2025

Elections to the faculty boards, department councils, the Council for Education and the Council for Research will be held online on 11th June 2025 at 9:00–17:00. Nomination of candidates starts on Friday, 2nd May 2025, drafts of the electoral rolls are submitted for verification 13.5–19.5.2025 and nomination of candidates ends on 28th May 2025.

Positions as student representatives are announced by the Student Union on the website https://studentkaren.fi/en/whats-new/noticeboard/

Timetable:

Tuesday 13 May 2025
Electoral rolls are submitted for review during the period of 13.5–19.5.2025 at 15.00 on www.abo.fi/val. Requests on rectification can be sent no later than 19.5.2025 at 15.00 to the secretary of the Election Board, via e-mail valnamnden@abo.fi.

Wednesday 21 May 2025
The verified final electoral roll will be published 21.5.2025 on address www.abo.fi/val.

The election to a faculty board or a departmental council may take place as an uncontested election 22–28.5.2025 at 12 noon, the results can be sent by email to valnamnden@abo.fi.
