The Rector of Åbo Akademi University Gunilla Widén cordially invites all students and staff to attend the opening of the academic year 2026 – 2027 in Vaasa and Turku.
The opening ceremony in Turku is being held on Thursday 3 September at 2:15 in Solennitetssalen, The Old Academy Building.
After the ceremony, guests are invited to mingle with refreshments.
You will choose which opening ceremony and witch parts of the program you will attend by registering in crm.abo.fi (opens in May)
The registration deadline is 28 August 2025 at 12 PM.

For guests, a dark suit or better casual attire is recommended.
