Welcome to celebrate Academic Day in Åbo Akademi University’s new Astra building on 19 March.
Academic Day will be celebrated on 19 March in Åbo Akademi University’s new Astra building. The University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University jointly commemorate this tradition each year to highlight their strong collaboration and shared academic roots dating back to 1640, when the Royal Academy of Turku was founded.
This year’s event showcases Astra’s new facilities, including the 360-degree Bonfire auditorium, with presentations on democratic experimentation, innovative event concepts, and research from Turku BioImaging. The programme also includes musical performances by members of Florakören and Brahe Djäknar. A guided tour of Astra and light refreshments will follow.
Please note: The event will be held in Swedish and Finnish only.

Registration: Space is limited to 75 participants from each university. Please register by 12 March.
