Tore Ahlbäck is head of the Donner Institute for Research in Religious and Cultural History and of the Steiner library, which is maintained by the Institute.
The Institute belongs to the Åbo Akademi Foundation and was founded in 1959 as the result of an extensive donation by Uno and Olly Donner.
The Institute arranges Nordic conferences in comparative religion every third year.
The Institute invites guest lecturers in the field of comparative religion in close cooperation with the Department of comparative religion and folkloristics at Åbo Akademi University.
The Institute publishes its own series, Scripta Instituti Donneriani Aboensis. |
