The travel scholarships and grants have two deadlines annually. The deadlines are the last weekday in March and the last weekday in November. For 2023, it is March 31st and November 30th. Notification of travel scholarships and grants will be sent by e-mail to the applicants within three to five weeks after the deadline.
Travel grants for bachelor and master students at Åbo Akademi University
Scholarships can be granted for travel in connection with the studies for bachelor and maste’s students at Åbo Akademi. The travel scholarships are granted according to the established cost table. The application should contain information about the purpose of the trip, an estimated cost calculation, information about any other support received for the purpose, and as an attachment the supervisor’s statement (collection of material for the master’s degree) or an employment contract or similar that verifies the purpose of the trip.
The application should be submitted before the planned trip. The trip should be reported after it is done by submitting a travel report. If the travel does not take place or if you do not submit your travel report within the set time, the scholarship will be reclaimed.
Travel grants for field trips in connection to the studies (student associations and student groups)
Travel grants can be granted for groups for trips and excursions in connection with the studies for bachelor and master’s students at Åbo Akademi. The applications should contain contact details for one contact person, information about the purpose of the application, estimated cost calculation with the desired means of transport, information about any other support received for the purpose.
Group travels that are granted travel grant are booked via a travel client at Åbo Akademi.
