... ÅAU will continue to be one of the pillars upon which a more inclusive and progressive Finland will stand.

What did you study at ÅAU and when?
I studied Chemical Engineering. I came as an exchange student in 2004 and then returned in 2007 to conduct doctoral studies.

What does ÅAU mean to you?
It is much more than the place where I studied and did research – it is the platform where I had the opportunity to meet talented professionals, interact with passionate student organizations and construct meaningful and long-lasting friendships

Why should ÅA exist at least 100 more years?
For as long as it continues focused on excellence, open‑mindedness and perseverance, ÅAU will continue to be one of the pillars upon which a more inclusive and progressive Finland will stand.

What has ÅA given you?
It has not only given me the opportunity to acquire valuable knowledge and experience but, as importantly, it has also provided me with a window through which I was able to learn about Finnish culture and to understand how both the Finnish and Swedish languages nurture Finland’s living traditions.
