M.Ed. Anna Widlund will publicly defend her doctoral thesis in Special Education at the Faculty of Education and Welfare Studies at Åbo Akademi University. The thesis is entitled Development of Academic Well-Being during Secondary Education: Relations to Performance, Motivational Beliefs, and Aspirations.
Professor Helen Watt, University of Sydney, Australia, will serve as opponent and associate professor Johan Korhonen, Åbo Akademi University, as custos.
To attend the public defence, you need to have the Zoom software or the web browser Google Chrome installed on your computer. You do not need a Zoom account to attend. If you install the Zoom software you attend by clicking on the link for the event, at which point you are asked to allow the Zoom app to launch.
At the end of the event members of the audience are allowed to ask questions. If you want to ask question, you can indicate that by using the “Raise Hand” feature. You can prepare yourself by having a microphone installed on your computer, or by writing down your question in a text document ready to be copied into the Zoom chat feature when you are asked to state your question.
