M.Sc. Anna Möuts will publicly defend her doctoral thesis in Biochemistry at the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Åbo Akademi University. The thesis is entitled Membrane lipid frustration: Contribution of ceramide and its effects on lateral segregation.
Docent Katariina Öörni, University of Helsinki and Wihuri Research Institute, will serve as opponent, and professor Mark Johnson, Åbo Akademi University, as custos.
To attend the public defence, you need to have the Zoom software or the web browser Google Chrome installed on your computer. You do not need a Zoom account to attend. If you install the Zoom software you attend by clicking on the link for the event, at which point you are asked to allow the Zoom app to launch.
At the end of the event members of the audience are allowed to ask questions. If you want to ask question, you can indicate that by using the “Raise Hand” feature. You can prepare yourself by having a microphone installed on your computer, or by writing down your question in a text document ready to be copied into the Zoom chat feature when you are asked to state your question.
