1960 First university computer in Finland (except ESKO), seventh computer in Finland: Wegematic 1000 is installed for TKKK, TY and ÅA
1961 First course at HHÅA: Data Processing, R. Lindblad
1965 First course at ÅA: Programming, A.Törn
1967 Independent field at HHÅA: Automatic Data Processing
1968 Independent field at ÅA: Computer Science
1970 First position: 1/2 Prof. in Information Theory och Data Processing, A. Törn (HHÅA)

1971 Assistantship in Computer Science (ÅA)
1972 Assistant professorship in Computer Science (ÅA)

1980 Computer Science Department in totality at MNF when HHÅA was integrated with ÅA. Positions: 1 prof., 1 Associate .prof., 1 Ass. prof., 2 ass. Address: ASA-huset, Fänriksgatan 3B
1983 First professor installed, R-J. Back
1988 Department moves to DataCity, Lemminkäinengatan 14

1990 Second professor installed, A. Törn
1994 Turku Centre for Computer Science (TUCS) created by TKKK, TY and ÅA
1995 TUCS is awarded "Center of Excellence"
