2. Education and Degrees

Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Abo Akademi 1974.
Master's degree (Math., Phys., Chem.) from Abo Akademi 1961. Post graduate studies at Nordita, Copenhagen (2 months) and Abo Akademi. Licentiate degree (Appl. Math., Theor. Phys.) from Abo Akademi 1963. Post graduate studies at Stanford University 1968-1969 (11 months) and at Abo Akademi.

Since 1970 several professor positions in Data Processing at Abo Akademi Business School and Abo Akademi, including tenure associate professorship in Data Processing since 1977. Acting professor of the computer science department of Abo Akademi 1986-1990. Head of department 1988-1998.
